We started as installers.
Over 30 years later, we still install floors, and now we sell them too, from our showroom in Medley.
Our story
Lindcol Wood Floors was founded by Jean Pierre Lindner. The name comes from his father's hardware store in Peru. His father named it by joining his own last name, Lindner, with his wife's, Colaizzo: Lind + Col. Jean Pierre kept the name to honor him.
Jean Pierre got his start in flooring as the warehouse manager for a large flooring company. Then he took the plunge and opened his own flooring business with a small team of installers. He spent decades installing floors, and as his kids grew up, they joined the family business.
In October 2025, we opened our showroom in Medley. We still work like installers. We measure every job in person, we know how each floor behaves once it's down, and we install what we sell.
Jean Pierre still runs the business and still goes out to job sites. His son and daughter work alongside him, and he guides them with what he has learned over the years.
How we keep prices fair
We bring in flooring through local importers and buy closeout lots, then pass the savings on to you. Because we install what we have in stock, buying the materials and the installation from us is usually the lowest total price.
